MEET THE BARISTA
Heavily inspired by American roots music, but comfortable writing, playing, or producing in any genre. Grew up breathing rhythm and blues piano, but also trained in classical composition and arranging.
Curator of an expansive network of industry and creative professionals from around the world, building on over a decade of experience as a piano-player, songwriter, arranger, composer, promoter, manager, and agent, among other things.
I’m the Director of Music Affairs for Super Duper Big Deal Productions, a production company and creative co-op dedicated to helping independent producers get their stuff made and find their audience. Many artists need help creating marketing strategies for their work. I aim to be a bridge between the creatives and the suits.
I’m seasoned in music production as well as live event production. Always enjoy pulling the pieces together. Eye for talent and frequently collaborate with artists and other producers in many different genres.
I am the leader of the Shady Street Show Band, an original 9 piece rhythm and roots band. It combines my love of singer-songwriting filtered through a horn section with the energy of a traveling circus.
Finally, I’m co-producer, dueling pianist, and consigliere to “Stormin” Norman Seldin, an old school piano player, entertainer and promoter who has played everywhere from dive bars in Florida to the White House. Norman was instrumental as a promoter and performer in the doo-wop scene in New Jersey in the 60’s, heavily inspiring such acts as Bruce Springsteen and Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. He has shared the stage with Doc Holiday, Chubby Checker, The Temptations, Roy Orbison, and many others.
I love to help other creatives along their journey and help them find their voice and their audience. Always do my best to surround myself with good people and good music, and am constantly keeping an eye out for new projects and talented collaborators. Let’s hang!
