Simi Lawoyin

I’m a multi-passionate Entrepreneur, Educator, and Creator.

By day, I help some of the world’s most successful companies develop their workforce and distill their company culture, through beautifully-designed digital learning journeys.

I’ve launched and sat on the advisory board for several startups on three continents, with particular interest in EdTech, e-Commerce and lifestyle products. I’m the founder of JASS Academy, a fully-remote, bootcamp-style program growing a talent pool of freelance digital marketers for the new economy!

Among my friends, I’m known as the Connector.

I have a knack for creating fun, memorable experiences that connect people, promote enterprise, and bring joy. Five years ago, I created Bring Your Own Mug, a collective of coffee (and tea) lovers, entrepreneurs, creatives, and culture enthusiasts on a mission to transform society and culture. We’ve hosted main-stage Social Media Week events, recently co-convened Lagos Coffee Festival (first ever coffee festival in Nigeria), and regularly hold space in neighborhood coffee shops around the world to foster community, host life-inspiring conversations, and encourage support for local businesses. (Think of us as your favorite, global coffee-nerd flashmob).

I’m an avid traveler. My adventures have taken me to 14 countries so far (and counting) across Europe, East Asia, North and South America, and Africa and the Middle East. I know what you’re thinking…and yes, Australia and Antarctica are on my agenda. (Corona begone!)

And if you hadn’t guessed it, I love a good cup of java. I’ll have an Americano any day.
