MEET THE BARISTA
Simon Childs is the CEO and founder of two companies. Optitude 360 Executive Search Psychology uses a range of psychological and psychometric techniques to help its clients source and secure the top echelon of inspirational leadership talent in the UK, Europe, and the US. He is also the founder and leader of Optitude OCC, a corporate services company focused on providing career professionals and corporate clients with Career Consulting, outplacement & People Experience (HR) Services.
“I founded the Optitude Brand” on three core principles:
People Focused, Empathetic, But Business First.”
Shortly after graduating in Psychology at a London University, Simon joined a graduate HR programme with a major international retailer before moving into professional headhunting and career consulting, where he has spent the last 27 years,
“I am still just as excited about helping mid-career clients break glass ceilings as assisting a CEO to avoid coming 2nd at an interview. I’ve been on a recruiting and people development path since the early 90s”.
He thoroughly enjoys helping his career consulting to “step up” or “step out” of their current jobs to reach the career heights and job satisfaction they deserve.
“I love getting people excited about the positions they can attain using Optitude’s methodologies and helping them overcome their personal or corporate challenges. Whether we are helping our clients to set and navigate their career or corporate objectives, it’s always a massive buzz when we see them get that “Ah-ha” moment and gain clarity on their path to success.”
Simon is the proud father of two wonderful teenage daughters and the husband to his amazing wife Jenny, his best friend, partner and rock. To relax, he enjoys playing and building electric guitars, spending quality time with his family and, when time allows, getting out with his camera on portrait or fashion shoots.
